Incorporating multi-aging for our Lower School students, developing positive social skills for our Middle School students, and employing a wide-ranging AP and Honors curriculum in our Upper School, helps us to encourage and realize the individual potential of each student. Student Population

Although Farmville is a small town of approximately 6,500 residents, it is the hub of commercial activity for over 100,000 people within a 30-mile radius. The population from which the School draws is economically and socially diverse. Parents often work multiple jobs to pay tuition, recognizing it is an investment for a lifetime. For them, Fuqua School provides the opportunity for their children to pursue an academic program which will lead to higher education.

Fuqua School is an independent, co-educational, non-sectarian day school, which enrolls approximately 350 students in pre-kindergarten through grade twelve. These students reside in rural Southside Virginia in eleven counties: Amelia, Appomattox, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg, Nottoway, Powhatan, Prince Edward. Transportation to and from the School is provided daily with routes extending as far as 60 miles from Farmville.
