Dr. Theodore Seuss Geisel's 114th birthday

The Lower School students were fortunate to have special visitors on March 2. In honor of the legendary children’s author, Dr. Theodore Seuss Geisel’s 114 birthday, law enforcement officers from the Farmville Police Department read to our PK, kindergarten and first grade students. What did they read??? Dr. Seuss books, of course. Captain Hogan started out our special morning reading Horton Lays an Egg to Mrs. Susan Johnson’s students. Lieutenant Ragland read, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, to Mrs. Tracy Carilli’s class. And we ended our reading with Sgt. Hoyle reading, Green Eggs and Ham¸ to Mrs. Mary Shepherd’s and Mrs. Maggie Johnson’s PK classes. We would like to thank all of our law enforcement officers for what they do for us each and every day, but especially for coming to read to our students on such a special occasion as Dr. Seuss’s birthday!
