Internship (supervised learning under the guidance of a Fuqua School teacher/staff member or approved outside professional; all internships are graded and are coordinated through the guidance office.)

Independent Study (No independent study may be taken as an Honors or AP option unless special permission is granted by the dean. )

College classes* (all college classes count as high school credit; see “Extended Campus Program”)

Students must carry a full load of classes unless special permission is granted by the upper school dean.

*Students must have demonstrated outstanding performance and secured approval from the guidance office to enroll in these courses. Due to the level of difficulty, these courses are weighted with the exception of college courses below level 300.

**Participation in two varsity level interscholastic team sports during the same academic year may be substituted for fitness.

NOTE: Spanish I-IV are offered on campus. Students interested in taking other modern foreign languages should discuss options with the guidance counselor.
