Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Giftorian (Grade 12)

Selection of the school's valedictorian, salutatorian, and giftorian is based primarily on the cumulative grade point average. Consideration is also given to the student's character and behavior record.

In cases of a tie or minimal differences in the standard GPA's, pluses and minuses (i.e., A+, A-) will be applied in computing GPA's. A quarter of a point will be added for a plus; a quarter of a point will be subtracted for a minus. (For example, an A in a regular class receives 4 quality points; an A+ receives 4.25 points; an A- receives 3.75 points.)
