Southside Regional Governor's School
(Grades 8-10)
Southside Regional Governor’s School is a consortium of school districts and private schools in Southside Virginia which provides a one week, residential summer learning opportunity at False Cape. The focus of this program has been environmental, using an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Students in grades 8-10 with very high standardized test scores and a high GPA are eligible to submit an application to the Regional School in early Spring. The application process includes submission of an essay on a designated topic, teacher recommendations, academic record, and a record of activities and volunteer service.
