Fuqua School students entering grades 4 through 12 are required to read at least two books during the summer months. Middle school students will be required to read one assigned book for their grade level. The second book will be a book selected by the student that is on his/her reading level and is approved by the parent(s).

Students must complete the Middle School Summer Reading Report for their grade level teacher-choice book. Click here for the book report form. The book report form for the grade level read is due on the first day of school, August 15, 2018. Students should be prepared to complete a project on their book choice when they return to school.

Students will participate in group discussions, analysis, and projects on the books upon returning from summer vacation. Your child’s Middle School Summer Reading Report and creative project will be a part of his/her English grade for the first quarter of the upcoming academic year.

If you have any questions regarding the MS FIRP, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
