We will begin fractions this month. It is very important that students review multiplication and division facts.
Students will be working on simple paragraphs and letters in language arts.
We are about halfway through our Wordly Wise vocabulary books.
We are beginning a new unit on light energy.
We will continue to read stories in our Treasures book. Students will have a book report due on March 10th. We will do most of the work for this project in class, but students need to be reading their books at home.

Biography
Chassity Pembelton teaches 5th grade at Fuqua's Lower School. She joined the staff in 2019. Chassity graduated from Longwood University with a Bachelor of Science degree and received a Masters in Elementary Education from Liberty University.
Chassity resides in Amelia County with her husband Chris and their four children. Emily is a registered nurse, Candace is a junior at Virginia Tech, and Blair and Reece both attend Fuqua School, 7th and 5th grade respectively.
