5th grade - Chassity Pembelton
Welcome to another month of in person learning!
Google Classroom is the forum we will use this year. We are working with students each day to learn to navigate this new program. They are able to view and perform assignments, quizzes, and other helpful links that will be utilized throughout the year.
We will not be doing a formal book report this quarter. Students will be working on writing their own stories and completing a book report project in class on our class novel, Bud, Not Buddy.
We will also be working on a social studies project. I will send more information home soon.
Our new class novel is Bud, Not Buddy written by Christopher Paul Curtis. It is a great novel set during the Great Depression. It is a story about an orphan boy looking for his father.
In math, we will be finishing up the quarter learning about conversions, plotting graphs, and volume.
