Welcome to November! This month in 5th grade:
Math-Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, and Dividing decimals
Language Arts- Parts of Speech, poetry unit
Reading- We will be working on short stories in the Treasures textbook
Social Studies-We are reading Chapter 3 in our books.
Science-We will continue with types of energy; sound, electrical, etc.

Chassity Pembelton teaches 5th grade at Fuqua's Lower School. She joined the staff in 2019. Chassity graduated from Longwood University with a Bachelor of Science degree and received a Masters in Elementary Education from Liberty University.
Chassity resides in Amelia County with her husband Chris and their four children. Emily is a registered nurse, Candace is a junior at Virginia Tech, and Blair and Reece both attend Fuqua School, 7th and 5th grade respectively.
