STEAM - Kathryn Jefferson

Welcome to the STEAM Lab!

Our students will explore STEAM careers and real world problems using the Scientific Method or Engineering Design Process. They will be engaged in lessons designed to make them think creatively and collaborate with others.

Current learning

PreK is painting rocks for a new rock garden and coding.  They are getting so good at coding - using repeat and loops!

Elementary grades have been learning about Earth Day.  We learned about recycling in Gambia.  Based on the Book "One Plastic Bag", they designed many new things from plastic bags like they did in the book.  Many learned a new skill in how to braid plastic so it is stronger to make things with.
