Why Fuqua School?

What makes Fuqua School different? It all starts with our caring, highly-engaged teachers and administration who know and care about each student as individuals, thus creating a sense of family and community at the pre-kindergarten level. Our small class sizes provide opportunity for personalized teaching that is tailored to students’ individual needs and promotes the development of close teacher-student relationships. At Fuqua School, we believe a values-based educational experience truly matters. Character, respect, honesty, and integrity are core fundamentals that guide every decision we make and every action we take. We are committed to creating an environment that is both welcoming and accepting. Students who graduate knowing how to thrive in an inclusive environment are better prepared to lead, and possess a competitive advantage, as they enter college and the world of work. Our goal is to enable each student to become the best version of himself or herself by realizing their individual potential. We work with each family to make a Fuqua education a reality for their child, with financial assistance packages available tailored to each family’s unique financial situation. "I placed my daughter in Fuqua School starting in 7th grade. I did this because I wanted her to have a more traditional, "old-fashioned" education. I wanted her to hear prayer in school, but not necessarily have an education that was Christian only. Mostly, I wanted her in a smaller environment where all the teachers and other students would know who she was. I didn't want her to be a nameless face in a class of 400 or more where only a few students could be "at the top." I wanted her to be with teachers who would really know her, recognize her gifts and help nourish her gifts. Because of this, she graduated with the Fine Arts Award. That's what Fuqua School did for her!" ~ Dr. Ruth Lyn Meese, parent of a 2011 graduate

"Our daughter attended Fuqua from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade because my wife and I loved the fact that not only was it a child-focused, supportive learning environment but a family.  The faculty and staff truly love their jobs and want to help students succeed.  They recognize that every student has strengths and weaknesses, and it's their goal to foster students' talents helping them to reach their boundless individual potential." ~ Jimmy Frank '89
