Financial Assistance

Our commitment to educational equity is a fundamental component of the Fuqua School philosophy and a core belief of Mr. J.B. Fuqua when he founded the school. To help us objectively assess what a family can contribute to educational expenses, Fuqua uses FACTS as a trusted thirdparty resource. A FACTS processing fee is required with submission of application. Notification of financial assistance awards are released after the application is verified through FACTS. Decisions about admission and financial assistance are two processes that are distinctly separate. Financial assistance is granted on a first come, first serve basis and funding for this program is limited. Families who wish to pursue financial assistance should apply when enrolling or by May 15.

Tax Family of W.C. Sprouse Scholarship

The family of William Carrington Sprouse would like to honor him and his devotion to Prince Edward Academy and Fuqua School. In his years here, W.C. was a band member, multi-sport athlete, and class officer. He played basketball, golf, and football, serving as Captain of the Varsity Football Team and being inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012.

He and his wife Betty were both PEA graduates in the class of ‘72, and she later taught at the school for over 20 years. Together, they made it a goal to achieve the Legacy Circle of Fuqua donors, contributing over $100,000 to the school. Their sons, Scott and Jay Sprouse, are members of the Fuqua classes of ‘2000 and ‘2003, respectively, and carry on their father’s legacy of leadership, sports participation, and giving back to Fuqua.
